Hubbell’s new Quazite ® box collars could literally revolutionize how you install Quazite PG series boxes. Framing, pour-in-place concrete, and multiple site visits are all eliminated by using a box collar. Reduce contractor costs by as much as 50%. Installation takes a few minutes, and box collars provide strength, security, and a clean installation in non-deliberate traffic locations. Five sizes are available. QUAZITE BOX COLLAR INSTALLATION

Quazite ® box collars are designed to be installed quickly and easily. All box collars have lifting inserts pre-installed in their face, but smaller box collars are light enough for two individuals to lift and install. To install using lifting straps, please unscrew the protective caps and insert a 1/2-13 UNC eyebolt. TO INSTALL • Place the underground enclosure and leave 1-inch of the enclosure above grade • Leave a distance of 2-inches below grade to place the Quazite box collar (3-inches total) • Compact the soil or place crushed rock 12-inches around the enclosure • Place the collar over the underground enclosure by hand, or with a backhoe • Backfill the soil around the outside of the Quazite box collar • Clean up the site - no protective barriers or additional site vists needed Installation videos showing the proper install of Quazite underground enclosures and Quazite box collars are available.
