Premium solution for inner grooving copper tube MRB Schumag, UK, has achieved success with a number of contracts for inner grooving lines from commercial inner grooved tube producers across the United States and the Middle East. The inner grooving lines combine a revolutionary high-speed spindle motor with proven Veegroove Wheel drawing technology. The lines not only ensure a high-speed tube grooving unit, but also the fast and safe drawing of the tube through it. Lubrication systems with flow and pressure monitoring, tailored to suit the high speeds of the grooving process, safeguard the smooth passage of quality tube through the line. MRB Schumag’s premium solution affords line operators the opportunity to take a sample of their inner grooved tube, whilst the line is running at full speed, meaning quality control does not come at the expense of productivity.

The company has also focused on production efficiency, with customer feedback suggesting that its patented Reciprocating Die technology is significantly increasing the life of inner- grooving tooling. To further alleviate the increasing cost of tube production, two of the inner grooving lines can be operated simultaneously, back-to-back by just one operator.
