Moves to The Winning

I t is possible to write ‘Las Vegas’ without adding an exclamation point – but just barely. The town carved out of a desert was a fabled place from the beginning. The town became the city – bigger, higher, glossier – but at no sacrifice of a semi-magical quality. At first glance the choice of Las Vegas as the site of North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, tube and pipe, and welding trade show is an apparent instance of casting against type. Over the course of its own history,

North America’s premier show in our industry has built upon a solid foundation. The existence of Las Vegas represents the kind of triumph over recalcitrant conditions and materials that is very familiar to the professionals who will be streaming to Fabtech 2008 in October. Over 950 exhibitors have already been confirmed, a testament to the decision of the organizers to locate the show at the gateway to the USA’s west coast region.

To help the show along for its first time in the area, new show Metalform – dedicated to stamping technology – will be held alongside Fabtech and the AWS Welding Show. Much has changed in the history of Nevada and Las Vegas; but fortune still favours those who get the best knowledge from the finest sources. Come October, many thousands of such people will be found in the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
