III. GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES a. AOAC Sections Collaboration Update (Liang/Bao – 3:45pm-4:05pm)

Chengzhu Liang (AOAC China Section President)/Lei Bao (Nestlé) will present project/timeline for draft GB submission to CFSA by AOAC China section leadership. b. Codex Updates (Sullivan/Orlandi/Starkey – 4:05pm-4:15pm) Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins)/Palmer Orlandi (AOAC) will provide a brief update on the Codex process in relation to the review and adoption of AOAC SPIFAN Methods. Dustin Starkey (Abbott) will provide an update on the Ad Hoc Expert Panel on Sweetness & Taste. c. ISO/IDF Update (de Vreeze/Dubois-Lozier – 4:15pm-4:25pm) Marcel de Vreeze (ISO/NEN)/Aurélie Dubois-Lozier (IDF) will provide updates related to infant formula & adult nutritional activities.

IV. AOAC SPIFAN RELATED TOPICS & DISCUSSIONS

a. SLV Guidelines Review (van Gool – 4:25pm-4:45pm) Martine van Gool (FrieslandCampina) will present an update on the Single Laboratory Validation guidelines as revised.

b. NIST Update (Phillips – 4:45pm-4:50pm) Melissa Phillips (NIST) will update the stakeholder on the status of the NIST program.

V. METHODS UPDATES AND EXPERT REVIEW PANEL INFORMATION (Sullivan – 4:50pm-5:00pm) Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins) will provide an update on the methods submitted for review and next steps to discuss the upcoming AOAC SPIFAN Nutrients Expert Review Panel meeting to be held April 29, 2021 in conjunction with AOAC Analytical Methods Week (AMW). VI. TIMELINES/DEADLINES/WRAP-UP (Sullivan – 5:00pm) Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins) will provide a timeline of AOAC SPIFAN activities including upcoming deadlines, review of any action items, and additional questions.
