Destruction of Records. Letters were read in reference to the destruction of deeds and records in the Land Commission Examiners' Offices, and the Accountant-General's Office, at the Four Courts, and the letters were referred to the Special Committee dealing with this subject. Courts and Offices. Reports were submitted of work done by a joint Committee consisting of some members of the Bar Council and of some members of this Council, formed for the purpose of securing provision of more suitable premises than King's Inns for Courts and Offices. The work done by the Committee was approved of by the Council. from members

Ballot for Council. The ballot for election of Council will be held on Tuesday, 21st November, from 11 to 1 o'clock, in the Secretary's Office, 33 Molesworth Street, Dublin. Voting papers should reach the Secretary not later than one o'clock on 21st inst.

Half-Yearly General Meeting. The Half-yearly General Meeting of the Society will be held at two o'clock p.m., on Tuesday, 28th November, in the Molesworth Hall, Molesworth Street, Dublin.

Meetings of the Council.

October 4th. Twenty-eight Members present. Library. The Council authorised the Library Com mittee to select and purchase such law books as are in frequent demand for use by members. The expenditure thereon to be £300.

October 18th. Twenty-four Members present. Death of Sir A. F. Baker.

The Council passed a resolution expressing its deep regret at the death of Sir Augustine F. Baker, a past President of the Society, and conveying to his relations the sympathy of the Council in their bereavement.
