• SENSitivity Encoding • Commercially implemented by Philips • Other Implementations: – ASSET (GE), SPEEDER (Toshiba), RAPID (Hitachi) • Apply knowledge of coil sensitivity profiles to calculate aliased signal component • Can be applied in through-plane phase encoding (3D) • Reduction Factor = 1 to number of coils (+non integers) • Cannot handle inherent aliasing (FOV must encompass object)
