100th PGA Championship - Hospitality
THE PGA CHAMPIONSHIP The 2018 PGA Championship will mark the 100th Anniversary of this historic competition. The PGA Championship is one of the premier sporting events in the world and is the only Championship exclusively for professionals conducted by professionals. More than 200,000 attendees will line the fairways of Bellerive Country Club to witness the strongest, all- professional, international field in Major Championship Golf. The Wanamaker Trophy is what each of the 156 players will be seeking to officially raise for the 100th time. BELLERIVE COUNTRY CLUB Originally founded in 1897, Bellerive Country Club has occupied three different parcels of land in the St. Louis area. The current layout and location opened in 1960 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. In 1965, Bellerive became the youngest course to ever host a US Open which was won by Gary Player and capped off his career grand slam. Major Championship golf returned with the 1992 PGA Championship won by Nick Price. The 2004 US Senior Open and the 2013 Senior PGA Championship were played at Bellerive making it just the third club in history to host all four men’s rotating Major Championships (US Open, PGA Championship, US Senior Open and Senior PGA Championship).
