 Complete the Sustainability Charter update and bring an updated Charter to

 Support the implementation of the City’s digital knowledge management solution, thereby reducing the City’s carbon footprint through reduced use of paper;  Implement complete on-line permitting system for Single Family Building Permits;  Initiate the “Designated Single Family Designer” program;  Implement technology solutions, business process automation and mobile resource capabilities targeted at

Council in early 2017, including a communication and roll-out plan;

 Continue to establish partnerships with academic institutions and other groups to complete needed research in pursuit of the City’s sustainability vision and goals.  Update the Sustainability Dashboard with 2016 data and use this as the basis for preparing the 2017 Sustainability Annual Progress Report;  Carry on with the Council direction regarding ISO 37120:2014 (Sustainable development of communities) certification for the City and if approved, proceed with the reporting process; and  Implement new work mobility technology for Civic Facilities maintenance staff.
