New Projects

Y ouTube continues to flourish under Google’s ownership, but Steve Chen has moved on. Not only has he started a new company with Chad Hurley, but he has also invested in countless other startup projects he believes could one day be as successful as YouTube is today. When asked if he had any regrets about selling his first startup, he answered, “I never have any regrets that we sold YouTube to Google.” According to him, Google is responsible for YouTube’s recent success be- cause a lot of Google’s innovations helped YouTube grow. “If we didn’t have Google, we would not have a mobile product. If we didn’t have Google, we would not have an internationalized the YouTube product.
