This is most clearly and effectively displayed in The Fitzroy Series (2011) this extremely emotional and evocative series encapsulates an array of transgenic organisms in different societal conditions; some taking refuge on streets and others accepted into loving families. This collection of works can also be perceived as a warning. Her normalisation of these creatures in society may be used to send a message about the heightened likelihood that this phenomenon will occur. By extension, this future possibility juxtaposed with her notions of empathy, advocate that when these creatures do come to life, for whichever reason we must treat them with respect and sympathy (Piccinini, 2011).
