From EVP/CIO Deanna Wise

e all face challenges every day in our personal and professional lives that can feel overwhelming at times. Just when a busy travel schedule is upon us, a family member gets sick. The day we have an important meeting, we have car trouble that we cannot afford to fix. The night of the big game, the system we are responsible for is at “Sev 1” and we feel stressed about wanting to be in two places at once. Please know that you are not alone in dealing with the challenges and stresses of life. I encourage you to communicate openly with your leadership and co- workers as they can be a great source of support and encouragement. The Employee Assistance Program is also a great resource to take advantage of during times of need. As we think about our own circumstances, it reminds us to think of others that are near and far. During this time of year, we are in the midst of our giving campaign and there is an opportunity to assist others if you have the means and desire. Think of yourself and the people you impact in your inner and outer circles and always strive to be compassionate, as you never know what might be happening in their world that you may not be aware of. Dignity Health IT employees have a rich history of giving back to the communities in which we live by leading charity events, volunteering at local food shelters, and through incredible generosity during the holidays. I am very proud that we are an IT community that supports each other. Thank you for your continued compassion and humankindness. Thank you for your dedication to our healing ministry. “Challenges come so we can grow and be prepared for things we are not equipped to handle now. When we face our challenges with faith, prepared to learn, willing to make changes, and if necessary, to let go, we are demanding our power be turned on.”
