Part of the walled enclosure of Alcalá de Henares lies in the area around the  Archbishop's Palace , formerly the residence of monarchs and archbish- ops. If you're visiting in November, you can attend a performance in the cen- tral courtyard of Don Juan Tenorio , an emblematic play from the Spanish Golden Age.
