Associate Director of Athl etics Dan Yourg has been a member of the USO Athletics Department since the fall of 1985 .

Yourg oversees football , baseball , men' s basketball , golf, men's soccer, and men's and women's tenni s. Yourg serves as the NCAA compliance coordinator for the entire USO athletic program. In addition , he is the department li aison to USO ' s Financial Aid Office. Yourg received hi s Bachelor' s (Soc iol ogy, 1980) and Master' s (Social Work, 1986) degrees from the Uni versity of Wi sconsin, where he was a nose guard on the Badgers' football team . Assistant Director ofAthletics/ Senior Woman Administrator Wendy enters her fourth year on the USO staff as the Ass istant Director of Athleti cs and third as Senior Woman Admini strator. Guthrie is a 1991 graduate of Whittier College (B.A. in Business Adm. ) where she competed on the cross country team all four

After Springfield, she held the positi on of Assistant Director of Athletics/SWA at St. Francis College in Penn– sylvani a for one year. Wendy gained experience working with the Colorado Sports Council and the US Olympic Committee at the 1994 US Olympic Festival in St. Louis, Mi ssouri , and was the Director of Awards Ceremonies at the 1995 Olympic Festival in Denver. In additi on to hi s SID duti es, Ted is a member of the Co llege Sports In formati on Directors of America (CoSIDA); assists the USO Hall of Fame Committee; is athletics editor fo r 'Voices,' a uni versity publi cati on that is published six times a year; and teaches a bowling class through the USO recreati on department. Ted and hi s wife Terri , a 1983 USO gradu ate, reside in Poway with their four daughters: Katie, Colleen, Claire and Erin .
