APEC Concept Note

Workshop on harmonization of method performance requirements for food safety testing among APEC economies. (1) Raise awareness of Codex Alimentarius method performance criteria and AOAC SMPRs and their experiences in setting of method performance requirements; (2) Technical exchange of information related to the method performance requirements used for food safety laboratories among APEC economies; (3) Create a framework for the harmonization of the performance requirements of food testing methods among APEC members; (4) Create an action plan for the assessment of the performance of the methods used by food testing laboratories in APEC economies.
