Introduction

FlippingBook Publisher is a Windows application, designed to create online publications with a realistic page-flipping effect from PDF documents and images. With the help of Publisher, you will be able to create online publications with the feel of a real book and with the interactivity of web technology. For example, you can enrich your content with links, videos and images to engage audience and add a table of contents to help them find what they need in a whisk. This user guide describes the most important features of FlippingBook Publisher. We have taken great care to describe the possibilities briefly and clearly. The starting point is the questions that you have asked our helpdesk though we also tried to incorporate some lesser known features. We hope that you learn something from it! This guide consists of 7 different chapters. We have tried to add visual aids at the start of each chapter (if applicable) to help you quickly find the feature that you are looking for.

We wish you good luck with your publications!

About this product guide

All the FlippingBooks that you create with FlippingBook Publisher are HTML5 documents. HTML5 is the latest evolution of the HTML- standard. Publications created with HTML5 are supported across all browsers. They are much faster and better optimized for a variety of screens and devices, either desktop or mobile. HTML5 is more secure, because it is not needed to install any external plugins (such as Adobe Flash plugin, an easy opening for malware and hackers) to view publications. Earlier versions of FlippingBook Publisher created publications that are based on Flash technology, but please be mindful that most of the major browsers are not supporting Flash anymore. This means that your audience will face more and more barriers when trying to open Flash publications as time goes by.

Therefore, we have stopped supporting Flash in FlippingBook Publisher too and we recommend using HTML5 if possible.
