School Cancellations and the CTC Bus

Riding lawnmower (barge only) *Examples only. Freight charges are determined by the office based on the size and nature of the item and are subject to change.

During the school year, if both the Chebeague Island and Yarmouth schools are closed, the CTC bus will not operate for the 6:30 a.m./6:45 a.m. ferry. On school cancellation days, please make alternate transportation arrangements for those morning departures.

Freight, Freight, and More Freight!

Have you noticed our crew taking photos of freight? It's part of a new process to help the office identify freight and process charges more efficiently. The crew will ask who owns the freight, take a quick photo, and the office will usually process the freight charges afterward. If you prefer, you're also welcome to pay on the ferry, stop by the office, or pay in advance over the phone at (207) 846 3700. CTC charges freight fees for commercial deliveries and personal bulk items. Our crew is not responsible for loading heavy items, construction materials, or landscaping supplies such as mulch. Please remember that gasoline may not be transported on the bus or ferry.
