wee Tournament History The West Coast Conference Postseason Women's Basketball Tournament wi ll be held for the seventh year, taking place in conjunction with the men's tournament, back on the campus of Santa Clara University. Every one of the eight member institutions wi ll qualify for the tournament which runs February 26 through March 2, 1998 . Four different teams have won WCC Tournament titles including the Un iversity of San Diego in 1993. That season, USO was making its first tournament appearance and upset host Santa Clara, 64-57 in the Champi– onship Game. The Toreros knocked off Pepperdine to reach the finals. San Francisco has won the last three tournament titles ('95-97) while Portland ( 1994) and Santa Clara ( 1992) also have claimed titles. 1998 West Coast Conference
