Nutritional Services Welcome to the 2018 WellSpan Leadership Development Schedule. This schedule provides information about upcoming workshops that will be held across WellSpan during the year. For complete descriptions, dates, locations and to register, simply click on each workshop title to access the LMS. WHAT’S NEW FOR 2018: • My Lead Well : A new WellSpan leader portal on INET available early- 2018. - My Lead Well will provide leaders with information about upcoming leadership development learning opportunities, just-in-time leadership tips as well as news and leader highlights from across the WellSpan leadership community. My Lead Well will provide useful links to key leadership resources and tools that leaders regularly need to make locating and accessing them easier. Finishing touches are currently underway on the site and you will receive further information about the My Lead Well portal during early-2018. • New offerings coming in 2018: – Courageous Conversations Roundtable: As a follow-up to the Courageous Conversations workshop, a series of 60-minute roundtables (conducted via conference call) will be offered during 2018 for leaders that previously attended the Courageous Conversations workshop. This interactive conference call session will provide a brief review of the courageous conversations framework and help leaders continue to develop their skills and gain confidence. It will also provide opportunity to share successes, discuss challenges and to learn from fellow leaders. Dates, times and locations are in this schedule. – Your WellSpan Leadership Journey (formerly Enhancing Your Leadership Performance): Leaders play a vital role in helping WellSpan continue to evolve and serve our patients, families and our communities. This new workshop will explore the evolution of WellSpan, your values and how they
align with WellSpan values and leader expectations. Through self-awareness and action planning activities, this workshop will help leaders at all levels prepare their own personal development action plan to help them realize their full potential. This workshop will be available later during the first quarter of 2018. Further information will be forthcoming. – Development Planning for Leaders: To help leaders have effective and productive development planning discussions with their staff, an e-learning module is currently under development and will be available during mid-year. Further information will be forthcoming. RETURNING FOR 2018 - INSTILLING ACCOUNTABILITY • Leaders across WellSpan are responsible for driving accountability within their teams. However, how do you help establish and sustain a culture of accountability and keep your team members engaged? We have again partnered with The Advisory Board to help leaders understand their role in driving and ensuring staff accountability, equipping leaders to remove organizational and personal barriers to accountability, strengthening the link between accountability and just culture, and ensure that staff are enabled, capable and invested in achieving desired performance. 3 sessions of this six-hour workshop will be offered across the WellSpan system during 2018 in March, June and October.
