A mixed franking cover from Wuhu to Germany, on front bearing Red Revenue small figures surcharged 2c on 3c, overlapped by an overprinted ‘Chine’ on French Peace and Commerce 25c, the Red Revenue is tied by ‘WUHU’ Pakua cancel, and the French stamp is tied by ‘SHANG-HAI/5.3.97’ Fr. P.O cds, alongside with the rare ‘CUSTOMS/WUHU/2.3.97’ cds. On reverse with Dowager small figures surcharged 4c on 4 cands in pair, tied by very neat ‘WUHU’ Pakua in brown, matching the ‘CUSTOMS/SHANGHAI/4.3.97’ transit, and ‘NURNBERG’ arrival cds.
