The charity has a core team of 200 volunteers which increases to 2000 throughout the year. In a personal letter to David, Prime Minister Theresa May said: “The ‘National Police Aid Convoys’ charity you co-founded is supporting emergency aid to reach vulnerable international communities when they need it most. Trip to Langton’s Brewery Lawrence Wright, Chairman No. 8 Region East Anglia

In January 2017 we ran a successful branch trip to Langton’s Brewery near Market Harborough. Before the brewery tour began we took the opportunity to sample a pint of ‘Inclined Plane’ (from Langton’s Brewery, of course) at the Bakers Arms in Thorpe Langton. The informal tour of the micro-brewery was hosted by Dave, one of the co-founders, along with two members of his staff. As well as describing the brewing process Dave also explained how the business was established and how it’s grown over the years. Of course we got to sample some of the beers produced at the brewery and enjoyed a sandwich buffet before heading back with a few bottles of Dave’s best to sample at home.
