Dyer joined the practice of Alden James, M.D. in Easton in 1998. Previously, he received his undergraduate

degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD, followed by graduation from the University of Maryland School

of Medicine where he was a U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholarship recipient. He went on to complete

post graduate residency training in Internal Medicine at York Hospital, York, PA and in Ophthalmology at

University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Dyer has served as Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland and as President of

the Talbot County Medical Society. He is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology and has obtained

Maintenance of Certification. Dr. Dyer is also a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the

Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He regularly attends ongoing clinical education conferences at

the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital and at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

His special interests include small-incision cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and management of glaucoma,

macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.

When not in the office, he keeps busy as a Leader of the Cub Scout Pack 190 and as soccer coach for the

YMCA & Talbot Soccer Association.
