On Friday , February 2nd , music will fill the Tavern from 6pm until 9pm . How did you get started playing golf ?

My father started teaching me to play golf when I was 10 years old . I loved it so much that I stuck with it ! I attended UT until hearing about the PGM program through Mississippi State , and it eventually led me here .

SUPER BOWL SCRAMBLE FEBRUARY 4TH

This year ’ s Super Bowl shotgun starts at 10am and features a two - person scramble format . Before play , your team will predict the winner of the big game and the point total . The cost for this event is $ 35 per player and includes cart fee and prizes . Guests are welcome ( additional fees will apply ). You may sign up for this event by Clicking Here .

Golf is definitely a game of skill ! What do you find to be the most difficult shot to hit ? For me , a downhill bunker shot is the hardest .

What " mistakes " do you find are most common among golfers ? I see a lot of golfers who have bad hip rotations during their swing which causes cast and sway .

HBCC has it ' s own unique set of play challenges . What is your best tip for playing HBCC ' s course ?

Definitely hit the fairway !

What are you looking forward to most in 2018 ? I am so excited to be here at HBCC and to officially start as an Assistant Pro . I can ' t wait to begin conducting lessons and be involved full time with golf .

M A R C H 1 1 T H The HBCC Tennis Club Championships for Doubles will follow a slightly different format this year . The event will be played over a weekend , with qualifying matches Friday evening , if required . We have separated it from the Singles to enable more people to play both singles and doubles events . All players will be guaranteed at least two matches per event . There will be flights of A , B , and C levels , as well as a senior flight . The junior events will consist of a 16 / u , 14 / u , 12 / u and 10 / u age groups . Entries fees are $ 25 per player . An awards party will be held at the conclusion of play on Sunday . Entries close March 7th and can be made at the Tennis & Swim Clubhouse Front Desk . The 3 - day boot camp includes six hours of instruction from our qualified teaching professionals . It is designed for players of all levels who regularly play doubles and are looking to improve their technical , tactical , and strategic knowledge .
