901 1914 (22 May) A mixed franking double registered red band cover sent from Tang Jiyao ( 唐繼堯 ) to Yunnan locally, bearing overprinted ‘ROC’ on Coiling Dragon 10c, 1st Peking print Junk 3c, tied by bilingual ‘CHAOTUNGYUN’ cds, and ‘R/YUNNAN CHAOTUNGFU/No. 1815’ char. reg. frame box, with faint arrival cds on reverse. On front bearing Peking 1st print Junk 1c x 11, tied by bilingual ‘CHENGCHOW’ cds, with bilingual ‘CHENGCHOW/Registered mail/No.3532’ reg. frame box in black, on reverse with bilingual ‘PEKING/9.9.14’ transit in 2 different types, and char. ‘Examined without damaged in Chengchow post office’ in black frame’ x 2. A stampless cover sent locally to Shanghai, on front tied by unusual ‘SHANGHAI/PAID’ frame chop in black, on reverse with single ring ‘SHANGHAI/LOCAL POST/18.4.17’ arrival cds in black, very fine.
