Around The Bend February 2019

When you are boiling food, it’s important to make sure that there is enough water for the food to “swim”, especially when it comes to pasta, which expands as it cooks. If there’s too much food and too little water, the spaghetti turns clumpy and starchy. Likewise, take note of your pan size when you’re frying on a pan. Try not to add too many pieces of meat or vegetable that you have trouble flipping over, which may not cook evenly. Happy Cooking! “Even in cooking…Size Matters!”

On Wednesday, January 23rd we held our first Chef's table of the year! Executive Chef Aaron demonstrated 4 delicious dishes while members asked questions and enjoyed each other's company. Members had the opportunity to pair the evening's dishes with flavors from Antinori Wine. If you couldn't make this evening's Chef Table, no worries, our next Chef's Table is scheduled for March 27th! Chef's Table Memories
