 CITY OF MORGAN HILL  FY 15-16  OPERATING AND CIP BUDGET  CITY OF MORGAN HILL  FY 15-16  OPERATING AND CIP BUDGET  CITY OF MORGAN HILL  FY 15-16  OPERATING AND CIP BUDGET  CITY OF MORGAN HILL  FY 15-16 OPERATING AND CIP CITY OF MORGAN HILL  FY 15-16  OPERATING AND CIP BUDGET  CITY OF MORGAN HILL  FY 15-16  OPERATING AND CIP BUDGET  CITY OF MORGAN HILL  FY15-16  OPERATING AND CIP BUDGET  Assisted Lusamerica, MDA Precision, Aragon, Infinion, Sakata Seeds, Prism Electronics, All Sensors, Mooyah Bur- gers, Air Craft Covers, Tencate Composites, Del Monaco Foods, The Ford Store, Honda of Morgan Hill, GMP Plat- ing, Anritsu, Concept Cyclery, Aerotron, Specialized Bicycles, Stone Park Capital, Toeniskoetter Development, South Bay Development and many other companies/developers with their relocation/expansions as well as con- nected them to other business resources.  Participated at SVEDA broker breakfast for all major industrial/office and retail brokers and key property owners promoting development opportunities in Morgan Hill  Participated in regional ICSC retail recruitment events, including the Western Division, Norcal-in Monterey Confer- ence in San Diego, the Alliance in Fremont and the Idea Exchange in Napa  Completed a retail analysis of the major retail centers to identify needs and opportunities  Responded to inquires generated from brokers, companies, GoED, CalBIS, and tradeshow participation via Central Coast Marketing Team (CCMT), Team CA, CALBIS, and regional connections—including responding to Flextronics Request for Information (RFI), a high quality organic foods market entity and a major retail Sporting Goods inter- est.  Continued to promote the Grow Morgan Hill Fund (GMHF) loan program, meeting with dozens of companies and to grow the partnership with the Grow MH Fund by levering thousands of dollars for local events that promote business development as well as the GMHF Planning/Administration  Provided the City Council and Planning Commission updates on economic development activities, including poten- tial strategies for strengthening and repurposing shopping centers, eliminating vacancies, creating jobs, and cre- ating place-making opportunities  Assisted with the development of the Long Range Property Management Plan (LRPMP) which received approval by the Department of Finance  Facilitated consultant selection and contract negotiation for the legal, financial, retail and relocation consultants for Downtown development opportunities  Continued to update the Economic Development sections of the City’s website, adding information on tourism, 100% local, shopping centers and business resources Local and Regional Economic Development Partnerships  Developed a Tourism Alliance community-based organization to champion the top seven strategies developed from the Tourism and memorialized in the “Ideas Book for Tourism.”
