Pro sports is a business, and even if analytics is your part in it, expect to work long and hard. Consider that if you are traveling with the team, you might be leaving the ballpark at night at the conclusion of a homestand . Around midnight, after packing up at the ballpark, you would take a bus to the airport, fly to the next city, take another bus to the hotel, check in at four or five o’clock in the morning, and then be up and running later that day for a game at night. Three or four days later, you do that all over again. That’s just baseball.
