FY 2018-19 and 2019-20 Adopted Operating and CIP Budget

CITY OF MORGAN HILL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

FY 2018-19 and FY 2019-20 of the six-year CIP are appropriated as part of the FY 2018-20 Biennial Budget approval process and they total $80.4 million.

Some of the project highlights include the following:

o Centennial Recreation Center Expansion ($2.1 million): This project will expand the existing facility to accommodate membership growth and meet future programming needs.

o Library Expansion ($3.3 million): Construction for the expansion and improvement of the Morgan Hill Library that includes space modification and improvements.

o Pavement Rehabilitation Program ($8.1 million): Ongoing program to address the City's pavement rehabilitation needs.

o Hale Avenue Extension ($20.0 million): Will provide relief from congestion along Monterey Road through the Downtown and relief for the residential areas west of the Downtown. The roadway will include bike lanes and a pedestrian walkway to accommodate other modes of transportation.

o Sewer Pipeline Capacity Improvements (Dunne & Tennant) ($3.9million): These improvements mitigate an existing capacity deficiency as well as provide additional capacity for future flows.

o Inclusive Playground ($5.7 million): With the assistance of the Magical Bridge Foundation, the City is developing an all-inclusive playground to provide play opportunities for all children, including those with disabilities.
