The element contains a water-absorbing polymer which absorbs & traps the water as it passes through the filter. As the filter reaches its capacity (approx. 1/2 cup of water) the flow of fuel is restricted - signalling that the elements needs changing. This element is also rated at 15 micron for particulate removal. SKU: 232907 40# Filter basket For use in Goldenrod housing when particulate content is great. Ideal to use as second system up- stream of Goldenrod with standard 10 micron element.
