Milk (Regulation of Supply) Amendment Act. 1995 (27 December, 1995) Amends the Milk (Regulation of Supply) Act, /994, in relation to the appointment provisions to the National Milk Agency. Domestic Violence Act, 1996 (27 February, 1996) Amends the law on the protection of persons from violence in the home; extends the law on barring orders and protection orders (at present confined to spouses and their children) to wider classes of person including cohabitants and their children; it gives the Court power to order long term protection orders called safety orders and provides for other related matters. Repeats and re-enacts with amendments the Family Law (Protection of Spouses and Children) Act, 1981. Johnstown Castle Agricultural College (Amendment) Act, 1996 (28 February, 1996) Amends the Johnstown Castle Agricultural College (Amendment) Act, 1959, to allow Teagasc to dispose of part of Johnstown Castle Estate, Wexford, for use for environmental, heritage, amenity or recreational purposes and to lease part of the Estate to the Environmental Protection Agency. Commissioners of Public Works (Functions and Powers) Act, 1996 (6 March, 1996) Provides for the powers of the Commissioners in relation to humanitarian relief, specifically to victim of flooding and provides legal certainty for certain genera! powers and functions of the Commissioners. Voluntary Health Insurance (Amendment) Act, 1996 (6 March, 1996) Enables the Voluntary Health Insurance (VHI) Board, with the consent of the Minister for Health, to develop new health insurance products and activities beyond its present business of strictly indemnity based insurance areas such as cash schemes in respect of serious illness; extends and updates the Voluntary Health Insurance Act, 1957.
