Lesson 5 - Working With Multiple Projects

1. Collapse row as needed. The task is collapsed.

Click for row 24 Build Infrastructure. Click the row 24 heading for the Build Infrastructure task.

2. Select the tasks you want to save in the subproject. If it is a summary task collapse it by clicking on the minus sign. The tasks are selected. 3. Click the Cut Task or Copy Task button. The selected tasks are moved or copied from the project file to the Windows Clipboard or a Planning Wizard dialog box opens. 4. If prompted, select OK to delete all the subtasks. The Planning Wizard dialog box closes and the selected tasks are moved from the project file to the Windows Clipboard. 5. Click the New button on the File ribbon and click Blank Project . A new project file opens. 6. Click in the first row of the Task Name column and then click the Paste button. The cut or copied tasks are pasted into the new project file.

7. Change the project start.

The new start date is entered.

Click and change the project start date to 9/6/16 .

8. Save the new project .

The new project is saved.
