The Graphical Indicators for “Custom Field” dialog box closes.

The Custom Fields dialog box closes.

Select the Variance column and press the [Insert] key to insert the new custom field into the Cost table. Select the Cost Indicators (Cost1) or the Cost1 (Cost Indicators) field from the Field name Scroll as necessary and notice that a red circle appears for each task whose cost variance exceeds $300.

Practice the Concept: Follow the directions below to include additional graphical indicators to display a yellow flag for tasks completed under budget (less than 0 variance), a green circle for tasks completed on budget (equals 0 variance), and a blue circle for all other tasks that are over budget (greater than 0 variance).

Open the Custom Fields dialog box and then open the Graphical Indicators dialog box. Starting in the second row, add the following tests and graphical images.

Notice that there are two is greater than conditions. Values between $0 and $300 will display a blue circle and values over $300 will display a red circle.
