Lesson 2 – Using More Customization Features

If necessary, switch to the Resource Sheet view and hide the Initials and Group columns in the Entry table.

1. Select the File tab.

The Backstage view appears.

2. Select the Organizer command from the Tables dropdown. The Organizer dialog box opens.

3. Select the desired tab.

The desired page appears.

4. Select the Task or Resource option at the top of the page, if applicable. The Task or Resource option is selected and the list boxes change accordingly. ‘Global.MPT’ list box that you want to reset. The element is selected. 6. Select Copy to replace the element in the current project with the same element in the global template. A Microsoft Office Project warning box opens, prompting you to confirm the replacement. 5. The warning box closes and the element in the current project is replaced with the same element in the global template.

8. Select Close .

The Organizer dialog box closes and the changes are saved.

Notice that the Initials and Group fields do not reappear in the Entry table, as you need to reapply the table. Apply the Entry table and notice that the table now reflects the default settings, which includes the Initials and Group fields.
