Start a new project. Open the More Views dialog box and notice that the Gantt/Resource Form view is listed. Cancel the dialog box and then close the project.

In the House13 file, open the Organizer dialog box. Select the Gantt/Resource Form view in the ‘Global.MPT’ list box, select Delete , and then select Yes to confirm the deletion. Close the Organizer dialog box and remove the split.

Practice the Concept: You can copy a new view to an existing project. Open the House11 file in the student data folder. Then, use the taskbar to switch to the House13 file. Open the Organizer dialog box again and display the Views page. Select the Views available in list below the ‘Global.MPT’ list box and select House11 . Select the Gantt/Resource Form view from the ‘House13’ list box and copy it to the ‘House11’ file. Close the Organizer dialog box and switch to the House11 file. Open the More Views dialog box to see that the Gantt/Resource Form view is listed. Close the dialog box and then close the House11 file without saving the changes.

The Gantt Chart Wizard can assist you in changing the appearance and content of your Gantt chart. This wizard helps you to identify the most valuable information as well as any problem areas in your project.

The Gantt Chart Wizard includes many formatting options. You can choose to work with a standard format or to customize the chart. The Gantt Chart Wizard does not create a new view, but rather formats the existing Gantt chart in the current file.

As you page through the Gantt Chart Wizard dialog box, a preview area reflects your choices as you make them.
