improved concentricity and an electrically balanced cable. It is available in sizes 16AWG to 500kcmil. The Topflex-EMV-UV- 2XSLCYK-J uses a traditional three conductor plus full size ground structure, in sizes 16AWG to 350kcmil.

transmission and distribution as well as insulation protection. This new HST line is available in a variety of styles including thin wall tubing, to protect electronic and electrical applications, and dual wall tubing that seals and insulates splices, junctions, Ys and Ts, back shells and terminationswhereenvironmentalprotection is required. Amphenol’s high temperature products operate in environments up to 260°C. Megger has launched the TDR2010, a dual channel, high-resolution time domain reflectometer (TDR) for fault location on all metallic cables, including twisted pair wires and coax cables. The rugged, IP43-rated auto set-up unit is designed for use by electrical and telecommunications engineers. Ready for instant use, the new TDR helps determine the impedance of the cable under test, sets the unit accordingly and selects the optimum gain and pulse width. If necessary, the auto function can be manually overridden, allowing the user to fine tune the test and identify hard-to-determine faults. The TDR2010 features Megger’s Xpert mode for rapid identification of faults. When the Xpert key is pressed, the unit automatically adjusts the range and gain, while positioning the cursor to the first major fault on the cable. Pressing the Xpert key again moves the cursor to the next detected disturbance. This mode makes obtaining good results simple for even an inexperienced user. Finding fault

cables to phased-array radar cables to automotive engine wiring harnesses. We even have customers using the CT100 in submersiblevehiclestotestsea-floorcabling,” said Brandt Mohr, chief technologist. “These are the only field TDRs that give you sub-centimeter connector-level resolution along with advanced features such as 16-bit sampling, FFT and S-parameter tools, layer-peeling, transient fault capture, and easy integration into production floor automated test setups.” The CT100 instrument family was released in 2009, and receives continuous upgrades, improvements, and new software features that are available to owners of earlier units through the instruments’ web update feature. Helukabel has added two new motor connection cables to its Topflex product family – Topflex-EMV-UV-3 Plus 2XSLCYK-J and Topflex-EMV-UV-2XSLCYK-J. The latest cables have an improved conductor temperature resistance of 90°C, enabling a smaller cross section when designing electrical networks in machines or systems. In addition to the resulting lower costs and use of copper, the smaller outer diameter eases installation in tight spaces by offering an increase in the cable’s maximum bending radius. The Topflex-EMV-UV-3 Plus 2XSLCYK-J is constructed using a three conductor plus three symmetrical ground configuration for Cable saves space and costs

Cicoil has launched its EZ-Flexx™ flat cable configurator. This freeweb-based tool, which allows a user to design a custom flat cable, is accessed through the Cicoil website. Flat cables can be constructed of power conductors, shielded signal pairs, video and coax wires and tubing for liquid and air. Cicoil has also added specialty modules (Camera Link ® , cat 6A, firewire, USB 3.0) to the configurator, and a Cicoil engineer is available to help in adding other elements to an individual design. Any combination of elements can be placed in any position within the flat cable profile. When the design is complete, users receive a price quotation, custom part number and an engineering drawing within seconds. All of Cicoil’s cable configurator cables are UL recognized, CE conforming, RoHS and REACH compliant, class 1 clean room rated and are cured continuously, with no debris or material contamination, in an automated, climate-controlled environment. Amphenol Industrial Products Group has introduced a new line of heat shrink tubing for the electronics, energy, rail mass transit, heavy equipment, hybrid/electrical vehicles, telecommunications, mining and oil and gas markets. RoHS-compliant Amphe-HST range is used in low voltage applications and medium voltage Feeling the heat

The new cables are jacketed with a PVC compound, double shielded, and use XLPE insulation on the inner conductors, making them suitable for applications that experience high voltage spikes and long cable runs. Both cables are designed for medium mechanical loads in both fixed and occasional flexing installation in wet rooms or outdoors, and their use in explosive environments is also possible. resistant, self-extinguishing and flame retardant in compliance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2.
