Year 9 GCSE Art Textiles Year 9 students are making a fantastic start to their first major GCSE Art textiles project. Students have been researching the four seasons with mood boards, observational drawings and mono prints. They have experimented with various textile techniques such as applique, free machine embroidery, reverse applique and hand stitching. All this research is now being used as inspiration for their creative corset designs. We can’t wait to see their final pieces of work. Well done Year 9 keep up the great work.

The Year 9 Hospitality and Catering group have recently completed an investigation into Italian cuisine. Researching different regions, chefs and culinary flavours from Italy has inspired them to create their own dishes. This is Jack’s creation, a roux sauce pasta bake, filled tortilla pizza wraps and a chocolate fondu sauce with cinnamon toast to dip. Fantastic effort all round, well done Year 9.

Year 10 Hospitality & Catering Inspired by the current series of Masterchef, we have been challenging ourselves within the kitchen brigade of Regents Park. The Year 10 class were set the challenge of ‘Tortilla three ways’ and rose to the challenge by making their own flour tortillas. They then shaped these using different methods and filled them with chosen ingredients. What a challenge, well done Year 10.
