Alongside this, the year group have been a part of a range of different opportunities and events, this included an incredible moment at this year’s Rock Challenge competition where they celebrated first

place and a number of Year 7 students took part in this. Through the input of the Year 7 student voice there are also a variety of different charity events happening across the school, this includes a charity ‘Swimathon’ to raise money, as well as another event ran by the Year 7 students representatives. Year 8 have continued to have a solid second year at Regents Park. I am impressed daily with their hard work, determination and great team work across the year group. It has been an absolute pleasure to watch Year 8 grow and mature into young adults. During the last few weeks Year 8 have had to really show their maturity when making one of the biggest schooling decisions whilst being in Regents Park so far. Your child should have brought their options form home to be signed by you and have returned it back to school. We are aiming to have the options confirmed by 20th March and will hold additional meetings for clashes /subject not running between 21st- 28th March. If all goes well we do hope to have KS4 option choices confirmed by 3rd April. I am very proud to announce that both our Year 8 boys and Year 8 girls have won their 5-a-side City Tournaments in Football against the other schools in Southampton, and may get the chance to represent Southampton
