GENERAL NEWS

Library

Happy World Book Day ! The library had the pleasure of, once again, hosting some smashing activities for World Book Day on Friday 7th March. The theme this year was Roald Dahl characters and students were offered the opportunity to dress up as their favourites in our photobooth. Mrs Highmore was dressed as Miss Spider from James and the Giant Peach. We got a lot of hilarious photos, some of which can be seen below. Students were also asked to vote for their favourite Roald Dahl book and, after a tight competition, The BFG was named the winner! As you may know Roald Dahl’s own favourite is also the BFG, so it seems he would be pleased with the result. At the time of writing this, our book fair is still ongoing, allowing students to buy books with their World Book Day vouchers, this has been very well received so far with over £100 raised. In the spirit of World Book Day we challenge you to name as many Roald Dahl books as you can. Mrs Highmore got a high score of 20.
