EXODUS 32:8

38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, 1 to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people. Exodus 31 The workmen of the Tabernacle Date - 1487 BC/AM 2513 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 See, I have called by name 2 Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: 3 And I have filled him with the SPIRIT OF 3 GOD , in wisdom, and in understand- ing, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. 6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; 7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mer- cy seat that is thereupon, and all the furni- ture of the tabernacle, 8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense, 9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot, 10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office, 11 And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do. Ceremonial law (Concerning the Sabbath) 12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily 4 my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanc- tify you (Heb.- JE HOV AH - MACCADDE- SHCEM) . 14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoev- er doeth any work therein, that soul shall

be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: 5 whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between me and the chil- dren of Israel for ever: 6 for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. 18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, 7 two tables of testimo- ny, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. Exodus 32 The worship of the golden calf Date - 1487 BC/AM 2513 1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto 8 Aaron, and said unto him, Up, 9 make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. 2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 3 And all the people brake off the gold- en earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. 4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, af- ter he had made it a molten calf: and they said, 10 These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made procla- mation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD. 6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and 11 the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to 12 play. 7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they
