Fleeting Moments By Courtney Stosser

We all rush to run from that faraway place Where the songs of meadowlarks pierce the air Consuming the soul with warmth and tender growth Of small bodies yearning to take a chance at living Where laughter chimes in the air like crystals in the breeze Sating the gullible nature of our imaginative minds We seek once more to free our imaginative minds Which ties us firmly into place Seasons pass as our candles are smothered by the breeze And we no longer breathe in summer’s sweet air Birthdays become the secret of living Notched on door frames to count our growth But will there be any excitement at the growth? Or will we recede into our aged minds Maybe if we saw in advance the truth about living We might understand more about time and place So, we could dance like daisies in the air If only we knew how momentary was the breeze For each moment of life moves with the breeze that fosters every season’s growth

from the frosty chill to summer’s air we seek refuge in our minds as we move to each new place marking the stages of living So as we honor the living

carried on the chariots of an infinite breeze remember to be happy in each new place which mark the achievements of our growth the changing thoughts in our minds breathe new breaths of air For each day we breathe a new breath of air we must take time to feel the living for childhood is but a brief moment in our minds of the changing direction of the breeze fleeting days and numbered years count our growth across the transience of place Now my place is in my mind as I have lived each milestone of growth I air by on the breeze
