Memory Café provides great opportunities for those diagnosed with memory loss and their care partner(s)/ family to engage with peers in a very relaxed and unstructured environment. The café atmosphere promotes social engagement and support through interaction with others experiencing similar lifestyle changes.

This is a group in the area that YOU will help shape. WHEN: 4-5:30 p.m. First and Third Thursdays WHERE : Community Center Upstairs Multipurpose Room CONTACT: Group Facilitator Betsy Benz at 952-484-2703 FIND THE ARTIST WITHIN YOU! This spring is your chance to discover your inner artist or crafter. The Scott County Library’s annual art series, Hands-On!, is designed to teach you the basics of everything from watercolor painting to weaving to collage! Classes are taught by art instructors, who are not only knowledgeable, but also patient and willing to work with their students. The best part is we’re hoping to schedule a class at the Sakpi ti Lounge. So come January, keep an eye out for the Hands On! class brochure at the senior center or at your local Scott County Library. Classes will begin in late February, and all classes require advance registration at www.scottlib.org/events or by calling or visiting your Scott County library.

TRIPS AND TOURS Join the fun and socializing that is part of going on a trip or tour with us. All trips include transportation and admission. Transportation departs from the Community Center, 1255 Fuller St. S. Trip pace definitions: • Light: Includes walks of one city block • Light to Moderate: Includes walks of two to three city blocks • Moderate: Includes walk of three or more city blocks • Extensive: Includes a substantial amount of walking • WCA: Wheelchair accessible Valentine Brunch Music and food to fill your heart with love & laughter Meal: Egg bake, cheesy potatoes, fruit and muffins, catered by Annie's of Belle Plaine. Wednesday, Feb. 12 10 a.m.-Noon $8 | Register #SE 212 by Feb. 5 HOLIDAY LIGHT SHOWS The Spirit of Winter at the Sovereign Winery Estates is a fabulous light show with outdoor festivities and many attractions. It is a walking stroll through our 10 acres of majestic illuminated grounds. Food, snacks and beverages to purchase on you own. Trip Pace: Extensive. Min: 14; Max: 17
