OUTDOOR SKATING

Rink Lights To turn on rink lights, push the light button between 4 and 10 p.m. to activate the lights. At Westminster Park, the lights are on a remote timer and turn on automatically

Shakopee Parks and Recreation's outdoor skating rinks are open mid-December through late February, weather permitting. During open hours, warming houses are open, rinks are lit and an attendant is on duty. Bring your skates, as rentals are not available at the outdoor rinks. Park Maintenance maintains the rinks, flooding and sweeping as needed throughout the skating season. POP-UP SKATE NIGHTS These mini-special events provide a great chance to get outside with your neighbors and friends and enjoy an evening of skating, games, hot chocolate and music! Due to the unpredictable winter weather and ice conditions, we will be advertising the times and locations of the upcoming event two to three weeks ahead of time on the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Facebook page, so be sure to follow us and join us at the rink!
