Tied by bilingual Postage Meter $5550,000. Showing the scarce ‘Postage Paid/No.4/U2’ meter mark in red. At left edge, handstamped ‘40377*18.VIII.48.3-4’ arrival marking in black straight. The international airmail postage rate was $150,000 for surface and $400,000 for airmail. This rate was only used 20 days from 1st Aug. to 20th Aug. 1948. Center folded, very rare.
