YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND IN US! SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH! Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep, Forky, and friends are joining the Farmingdale Public Library on an adventure to promote the value of a library card!

In the event of a large turnout, residents with proof of residency in UFSD #22 will be admitted first. Movie Times:

A library card opens a world of infinite possibilities: libraries offer resources and services that help people pursue their passions and give students the tools to succeed in school and beyond. Library cards are FREE to all UFSD #22 residents. To sign-up, bring two proofs of residency to the Circulation Desk. Patrons under the age of 18 will need the signature of a parent/guardian. Children birth-5 years will also need a birth certificate. FROM SEPTEMBER 1-30: • Contest for Adults: Name that Toy Story movie! One lucky winner will win a prize basket! • Contest for Kids/Teens: Guess how many toy soldiers are in the jar. One lucky winner will a prize basket! • New residents who sign-up for a library card will receive a welcome kit and raffle ticket for a chance to win a sweet prize! No Registration Required The Long Island Rabbit Rescue Group is an all-volunteer organization. Their mission is to rescue abused, neglected, or abandoned rabbits, have them medically treated, and placed in loving, indoor homes. PIANIST ITAY GOREN CONCERT Sunday, October 6 at 2:00pm No Registration Required Israeli-born pianist Itay Goren will be here to perform works by Handel, Haydn, Brahms, and Randall Svane. Goren has performed in solo recitals, chamber music, and as a soloist with orchestras in the New York metropolitan area and abroad. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents. THE LONG ISLAND HARMONIZERS Sunday, October 20 at 2:00pm No Registration Required The Long Island Harmonizers, part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, are a group of men who like to sing four part a cappella. They will be here to perform a wide range of songs that were composed between 1890 and today. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents.
