Law Library

The Moakley Law Library is housed on the sixth and seventh floors of Sargent Hall, with its entrance located on the sixth floor. The Law Library provides students with comfortable general seating, study rooms, and study carrels for both quiet and collaborative work. Students have access to an extensive collection of both print and electronic resources.

Access

The Law Library is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 11pm. The Reference Desk is open from 10am to 6pm Monday through Thursday and between 10am and 5pm on Fridays. Any changes in library hours will be posted on the library’s home page .

The Law Library offers a wealth of resources and services to Suffolk University Law School students.

Study Aids

Study aids are a great way to prepare for class and get ready for exams.

Access online, full-text West Study Aids , including the Hornbook and Nutshell series, and LexisNexis Study Aids , including the Understanding and Questions & Answers series.

Listen to the Sum and Substance series , which has detailed lectures in more than twenty areas of law. Access them through our West Study Aids subscription or borrow the CDs from the library.

CALI has wonderful online, interactive exercises to help you test and review your knowledge for your 1L classes – they’re also great practice as you prepare for exams. (New students will get a CALI registration code before the start of classes.)

Many professors post copies of exam questions from previous years in our past exams database . Use these exams to practice test-taking and gauge your knowledge of the subject.

SeRiouS was created by a Suffolk Law School professor to increase memory retention and maximize performance on law school and bar exams. All Suffolk Law School students can set up an account for free.

Study Rooms

For group study, use our online reservation system to reserve a library study room .

Interlibrary Loan

If a book or article you need is not available at the Law Library or the main Sawyer Library, you can request it from another library through interlibrary loan .
