There was little progress this year. We balked when the engineering firm suggested fees for a site visit, a possible wetlands survey and indeterminate hours to update the park plan. Following the Town Meeting, the focus changed to cleaning up some trees and creating a proper trail around the park’s perimeter. Quotes have been secured and that work will be done while the ground is frozen in early 2026. With the Selectmen’s recent focus on long term park planning, we think the park plan can serve as the 10-year plan for the park. We are reviving the park plan updates, seeking competitive quotes for the work. Respectfully submitted, ESTES PARK TRUSTEES Mia B. Dodge Randall J. Porter urchased bulldozer and students learning the trade to evelop their skills in a real-life work setting. The leared material was removed by Buxton Public Works. Trustees initiated discussions for expanding the use of the ark. Ideas include clearing the wooded area behind the allfield to add a soccer field, a walking path around the erimeter, a playground near the ballfield and a pavilion earer Chicopee Road. The goal for 2022 is to formalize plan and get the wooded area cleared. We’d love to ear what residents think! Respectfully submitted, ESTES PARK TRUSTEES Mia B. Dodge Kert A. Jackson Randall J.
