Rofin-Sinar Marking division moves to new premises

After 17 years at its existing facilities, Rofin- Sinar Laser GmbH, Germany, has moved to a new company building – but only 150m away from its old home. The company has been steadily growing in recent years, meaning the relocation was inevitable. In 2007 spacious new facilities were built just half a block away. With 7,000m 2 , the three-story red building offers enough room for all departments – and for future growth. The company develops, produces and distributes solid state and CO 2 laser sources and laser marking systems. The company also sets a high value on additional services like training.

In the new premises, the sales, service and training centre are close to the entrance. With a space of 250m 2 , the new application lab provides the opportunity to run application trials on virtually all of Rofin’s marking systems. The new address, which is immediately effective, is Dieselstraße 15 D-85232 Bergkirchen, Germany. Rofin has also recently appointed key members of staff. Mr Stephan Geiger has become the new managing director of Rofin/ Baasel Lasertech in Starnberg, Germany. Mr Geiger’s previous positions within Rofin include manager of ‘new technologies’ for the company’s
