The 2018 freestyle team boasts the Best of British riding and includes top talent in the way of the UK’s first rider to back- flip a four-stroke motocross bike and one of the UK’s top FMX riders, Dan Whitby, who will also be managing the team this year. The team also includes one of the UK’s highly-rated FMX riders and super stylish Samson Eaton, along with young talent tipped for the top, Arran Powley. The team looks to continue to set the standard in FMX show- manship this year and visitors are invited to meet the stars of the show at the Bolddog Lings interactive stand, where they can also find out more about freestyle motocross. Not only have the team appeared in some of the largest shows in the world, but they have also graced the big screen, featuring in Hollywood blockbusters such as Captain America . Bolddog Lings team manager and one of the UK’s top freestyle riders Dan Whitby describes their show as: “More than just freestyle. It’s a non- stop show that will entertain everyone from off-road enthu- siasts to the general public. “It’s a must-see part of any festival and is continually growing in popularity as the awareness of FMX increases.” The Bolddog Lings Motorbike Stunt Team will be performing in the Main Arena on both days of the show. Show chairman Ian Wilson says: “The pageant has been two years in the planning and several ideas have come from it. “It will be a fantastic opportu- nity to see up-close how the large modern machinery that is often an irritating noise in a field near you or indeed in front of you on the road, works and aids in producing food. “The pageant will show machines through the decades and culminate in a harvest demonstration in the main ring.”

However, sad as it is, many did not return. With their absence evermore present in the farming community, it was time to start developing. And so the revolutionary change from horses to mechanical agriculture now spurred into action. Steam engines had been used previously during the war, but they were slow, heavy and couldn’t complete the job to the standard needed. Then the tractor was intro- duced, which was quicker and more agile, and so agriculture was born into a new age of farming.
