TIME TO MOVE – SENIOR REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST You are invited to Benedictine Living Community of Shakopee opening summer 2020. Make this MOVE your last with our continuum of care and options. This will be an information session on the new senior living community. Also, if you are not familiar with the Shakopee Community Center, tours will be offered after the information session. See if you qualify for the Silver Fit program. A light healthy snack and beverages will be provided.

HELP AT YOUR DOOR Learn how Help at Your Door can make your life easier by helping clients remain active, healthy, and independent. We make this possible for aging Minnesotans by providing a holistic approach that includes access to healthy meals, in- home support and transportation. We offer several options for seniors and people with disabilities including grocery delivery, help with housework (handyman, cleaning, etc.) and a personal ride service. Help at Your Door is a Minnesota Department of Health Services authorized provider and accepts a variety of waivers and SNAP vouchers. MATTER OF BALANCE Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. This award-winning program is designed to reduce the fear of falling, stop the fear of falling cycle and improve activity levels among community- dwelling older adults. This eight-session class emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls, including view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home and exercise to increase strength and balance.
