A variety of facilities located within the city’s park and trail system are available for use by the public. For exclusive use of a facility for a given date and time, a shelter reservation is required and can be made by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at least seven days in advance of the proposed date(s) of usage. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Rental fees and deposit must be paid with the submission of the reservation form. Activities such as amplified or live music, pig roasts, large barbecues, inflatables, dunk tanks, weddings, car shows or other events open to the public require a special permit and may have additional fees assessed. SHELTER RENTALS & FEES Park Hours: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. All picnic shelters are available March 1 through Nov. 30, however bathroom facilities may not be available at open air shelters before May 1 or after Oct. 10. In addition to the rental fee, there is a $100 refundable deposit due at the time of reservation for enclosed picnic shelters and equipment.
