Ducklings Room News

The Ducklings have had a busy August starting with Eid-ul-Adha celebrations! The Ducklings made their own moon and stars pictures by sticking blue and yellow tissue paper developing their fine motor skills. We explored coloured rice and looked on Tapestry to see the celebrations our friends shared. The Ducklings interest in mini beasts has continued to grow, we have been exploring brown mini-beasts and going on mini-beast hunts in the sand and water trays, using our transporting schemas to catch them with our buckets and then emptying into the water to re-find! We have also been searching high and low in the garden using our magnifying glasses to search for mini-beasts, we hope you enjoyed your home-learning checklists to see if there was any hiding in your garden at home, please share your findings on Tapestry! The Ducklings have also been celebrating Pirate Week! We made our own treasure chest where we all had to find the treasure inside, but before that we had to walk the plank to get to the treasure pot! Once we had all walked the plank and been so courageous, we then read the ‘Ten Little Pirates’ story’ with our friends! We would like to give a warm welcome to all the new children and families who are joining us throughout September. We look forward to getting to know you and your little ones.
